And no matter how hard we try to fill the gap with the eyebrow pencil, in the worst case it can even happen that the fine hairs do not grow back as much as we would like them to. But don’t worry, to avoid this worst-case scenario, there are a few simple tricks you can use to pluck your eyebrows like a pro. All you need are good tweezers and a few minutes of your time.

How to pluck eyebrows properly

Up to now, most of us have always plucked our eyebrows before we put on make-up – this is not bad in itself. However, to get the eyebrows in shape skillfully and to minimize the risk of a gap or a too narrow brow, it is better to always pluck them after make-up. If they are filled with colour, you can then see exactly which hairs actually need to be plucked and which do not. The danger is reduced by removing too many hairs or even working on the wrong place, resulting in an unsightly gap in the end.

Bringing eyebrows into the right position

Before trimming your eyebrows, you should first comb the hairs upwards with a fine brush to see the natural shape of the brows. Then you can start plucking carefully with the tweezers and remove the hairs that are not in the right area. Important: Always remove the hairs in the direction of growth so that they do not break off and can be removed completely. This also prevents ingrown hairs.
